Welcome Spring
And no, we don't release new units each month, just when we get a wild hair! Do you like wild hair?
New Units Released!
The FBI - An American History Unit
The Inuit & The Arctic Circle
Though we like the "MORE" drop down button for our pages because we can organize our units alphabetically, sometimes it's not easy to see at a glance what we have here on the site.
Also because we like to keep our history units organized by time period so that we too can see what we might want to cover next, we have organized our units by time period and provided a link to the page. Also, we have organized on this front page our other science, geography and art units.
Keep in mind we will update this chart from time to time so this may not be all the units we have here but it gives you a nice place to start as you discover our website.

Even though we love sharing lapbooks, our true "first love" is helping new or struggling homeschoolers through our program New Bee Homschooler.
Where to download your printables?
Most of our links to download our material are at the bottom portion of each page. The way each unit or page is set up is so that our information about that topic is at the top portion of the page and the links to the free lapbooks and notebook pages are at the BOTTOM of the page. Each page has "thumbnail" pictures of the minibooks so you can preview what you want before downloading. Then the link to download EACH minibook is ALWAYS UNDER that minibook. At times we will group two or three minibooks together on one download, but we only have one unit, Lewis and Clark that is a "download all" link.
Why are our minibooks for the most part downloaded separately?
Well, we like "organization". We don't want our computers or storage spaces cluttered with a lot of pieces we won't use because we might like one or two pages of a unit. So by looking at thumbnail pictures, this allows you to "pick and choose" pieces that you want "exactly".
Why aren't there more coloring pages?
Simply put, when we first started lapbooking, we "burned out" our children so to speak on all the coloring and crafts. Too, there are gobs of sites with beautiful coloring pages. So we felt that by adding those coloring pages for our children that wanted to color from those wonderful sites and adding some pages with graphics that we provided, each child could actually enjoy lapbooking.
How do we view our units?
Well we know there are a lot of wonderful resources with all kinds of blank mini books. We know-- we use them and are grateful for them. However, sometimes we don't have the time to do the research or because we want to incorporate other curriculum besides lapbooks into our day, we want something more "put together". Kelley and I feel that with some mini books pre-made, the parent and child could decide how much they wanted pre-made and how much they wanted to use coloring pages and blank mini books.
By providing pre-made, you the educator can determine how much you need to save time or if you want to delve deeper into subjects. Again, that is another reason our pieces are downloaded separately--so you can add them to something special and unique that you might want to create or not.
If something is not working right, we have no way of knowing. If you can't download a file, or it gives you the wrong one, please let us know. Thank you!

We love this picture of a wagon that was taken at the Buckhorn Museum in San Antonio, Texas. It is one of our favorite places to visit about Texas and the Old West. If you get over this way, it is worth the visit.
Too, we feel a certain kindred spirit with the pioneers of the West. Sometimes as homeschoolers we feel that we are trekking "new territory" when we begin our day with our children.
Our site is all about those "trails" we have made and sharing that with you.
ABOUT OUR SITE
It is about sharing free lapbooks, notebooks and unit studies along with some of this "this and that".
Kelley and I lead a co-op here locally. So our freebies are part of the work we do for the co-op along with some of our own personal unit studies. So why not share with you? We hope you receive some benefit from it. Our site is a work of the heart.
Too, we have a commercial license for a lot of our clip art, but it is at no charge to you. We respect copyright and do our best to attribute people.
ABOUT OUR LAPBOOKS
Since our co-op is about socializing, a lot of our lapbooks are simple and easy to make. All of our co-op members do lots of writing in their homeschooling day, not to mention their fair share of a worksheet or two, so we wanted simple lapbooks. We didn't want them so involved that we couldn't get them done. Hmmmm.... we have been there before, have you? LOL
Also, it seems easier to find lapbooks for the younger kids, but not our middle school and high school kids. So a lot of our lapbooks can be used for this age as well. From time to time, you will see where we adapted the lapbooks for younger kids or vice-versa.
Did we mention we have a kid or two among the bunch that doesn't like to write? So we do provide some information on most of our units that can be used.
Bottom line: You can download a mini book or two and put with your printables or download the whole thing. Our lapbooks are like many others in the sense that you can make it as thorough as you want.
Welcome here and enjoy BOTH of our sites.
We love ALL of your wonderful emails and comments. We lost all of your comments when the website upgraded. So the section below gives us a place to store them if we can't answer timely. Please take time to let us know what you're using on the site. It keeps us knowing what you like. Glad you are here and we {heart} all of our members and guests.
